Bojan drums J.S. Bach Brandenburg Concerto No. 3

Bojan Sambolec is a drummer I met at a heavy metal festival in 2019. He’s part of the Schema Collective community. Now we’re both in Brisbane/Gold Coast reggae band Roaring Lion, a Bob Marley tribute band. Bojan’s wanted to play reggae forever, and I just feel like I’m in the best dream. Like how did I get here?

Then, I came across Bojan doing this…

I’ve never seen a drummer improvising over a big classical piece. Insane! Apart from drums Bojan plays bass and guitar in two metal bands, and listens to all kinds of music. He’s mad about Chopin and actually played some to me on a piano by ear. So I played a nocturne for him, and he’s now going to learn piano with me via Zoom.

Music has no boundaries. Heavy metal, reggae, Bach and Chopin. All in one post. One Love.
