My student Tirian is learning the chorus of Crocodile Rock by ear. He’s quite young and has a great ear for working out songs, but his reading is rudimentary. I promised I would work out something for him over the weekend.
Of course, pop songs are so syncopated, I’ve written it much more “square” and I assume Tirian will rock it up the way he knows it sounds. To get the final few bars to sound like the song, I used dotted crotchets and the red notes indicate that it’s not correct. Fair enough!
Once he gets this, I’ll add in some basic root notes for the left hand, and then later we can do the next section.
