[Posting clips of my students performing lets them know I’m proud of them. Learning music – like learning most things – is a series of little steps, every step significant, and hopefully taken with a sense of pleasure and adventure.]
Here’s a duet with 12 year-old-Arthur. He’s playing the melody, which has been split between two hands in an easy-to-play book.
Although his part is simple, he plays correctly, with feeling and a lilting rhythm. The melody is light and sings out, it doesn’t sound leaden.
Simple means there’s no where to hide. Well done Arthur.
